The Pyrus Story
Oh, pure golden one,
pear and partridge all in one,
your sweet tinkling sound,
gathers us round,
to see how you might be,
upon the limb of a Christmas tree.
Oh bird and pear of song and wing,
of you we do now sing.
Remind us of the many moons ago,
when all the stars hung in the sky low,
heaven and earth were in harmony and aglow.
The north star has never been as bright,
as on that special sacred night,
when all joined as one to sing,
for the birth of the newborn King.
