Nicholas de Neptune resides deep within seas and oceans,

Moving in his seahorse-drawn sleigh without commotion,

Silently watching the world’s waters’ flow and motions.

Lore has it since before the early Romans,

Oceanography has been his passion and life’s devotion.

Over waters still, stormy, or frozen,

An invisible observation web he has woven.

Watching all aquatic elements move in their own tandem,

Discovering their patterns within their spaces,

Each with unique and sometimes random traits and paces,

All studied fully but leaving no traces,
