The Lou Lou Story
Hailing from deep within a now lost sacred tome,
dating back to when the heavenly King was born,
the Lou Lou was created to adorn your home.
When the days are short and the nights are long,
after you have given thanks for your daily bread,
and all errs you have promised to amend,
the bird in this cage calls to angels from overhead,
to watch and rest beside your bed.
Upon the sound of the last Amen,
the saints will arrive and gently tread,
and soon visions of sugar plums will spread,
into each of the house’s sleeping heads,
feeding sweet dreams of holidays past and ahead.
