The Kiran Story
Kiran translated from Sanskrit to English means “ray of light”
and true to his name,
this candle is always topped with a smile and glowing flame.
Kiran clips to the limb of any fir, pine or spruce,
for tree decoration is most often his primary use.
Historians are said to proclaim,
that Kiran is a direct descendant of the first wicked flame.
This remark incites and inflames
certain candles who will remain unnamed,
to flap their wicks and exclaim
“A candle is a candle, we are all the same!”
While ancient, Kiran has never achieved fame,
and celebrity status he will never claim,
for it is not his aim.
His ambitions are always focused on the highest tree limb,
or landing a spot on a choice window frame.
These are his only goals and endgames,
and through the ages it has always been the same.
