The Jinglebeest Story
A wild creature is the stripe horned Jinglebeest.
With a Jinglebeest near no cookie crumb is wasted,
for whatever a Jinglebeest sees must be tasted.
So keep him on the tree during the holiday feasts,
or every dish he may deplete!
Once a Jinglebeest is seen in the house,
the holiday season officially starts,
and the celebration will not cease,
until the beest comes off your Christmas tree.
A wild creature is the wooly Jinglebeest.
Steady on his hooves even if the lights are nil or dim,
he is able to perch upon a limb,
or stand on all fours on any mantle, deep sill, or table,
silently hooting and hollering,
as only he is uniquely able.
A wonderous creature is the Jinglebeest.
