The Jerry Story
Jerry with his long neck can see,
far across the seven seas.
Often asked by Santa to report on the weather,
Jerry takes to this task with great pleasure.
Helping on Christmas eve as only he is able,
Jerry reports to Santa’s roundtable,
advising on regions they will need to finagle,
and if they should pack the parachute cables.
He lets Santa’s stable know,
which direction the winds that night will blow,
and lists the areas of heavy fog, rain or snow.
Thanks to Jerry, Santa and his team,
are always aware of any strong breeze,
from Bangkok to Belize,
along with all spots under deep freeze,
and heavy traffic by areas like the Tappan Zee.
Jerry’s aim is to please,
hoping to make Santa’s trip one of ease.
But Jerry’s biggest whoopee, is listed in lights annually,
on the JingleNog theater marquee,
“ Join us as Jerry lights the Jingle Tree!”
