I met you,
arriving from out of the blue,
with a warm smile and your worldly views,
there was no hullaballoo, or ballyhoo,
but after we first met I knew,
we would be friends our whole lives through.
Now I know you,
and through you,
I have found many brilliant clear days colored in every hue.
the eyes that I look to,
open and reflecting the sky and sea blues.
No one else will quite do,
for comfort, advise and sharing since I’ve met you.
I thank you,
tested, tried and ever true,
you are always in my heart and within my mind’s eye view.
