The Franca Story
This lily pad loving frog is named Franca.
She was born on the island of Sri Lanka,
with her first ribit “got to jette ” became her mantra.
Franca was never one to loll or meander,
everyday she practiced her moves at the barre,
slowly developing an amazing repertoire.
She was determined to become a ballet star.
At night she had no time for banter,
sitting on her lily pad she read everything she found about famed troupes and masters.
She set her goals and had high standards,
speaking in a polite manner but with full in candor,
She said getting the audition was all that mattered,
for although others were great, she was better!
She sent requests to the universe to become a ballet dancer,
after too many pirouette filled days to mention,
someone answered!
There was a spot in the ballet corps in Tampa,
so there she moved and danced happily ever after.
