The Fox Trot Story
Our fox is dressed in his holiday best and ready to go.
Every year with the first frost we hear his call of “tally ho”,
then off our fox trots on his hunt for mistletoe.
He perks up his ears,
twitches his nostrils,
swishes his tail,
searching through every nearby hill and vale,
as he sniffs for the mistletoe scent on every trail.
When the perfect berried sprig has finally been found,
he straightens his tie and blows his brass horn,
soon the hares, dogs and other animals gather round.
The mistletoe is then prominently hung,
as the centerpiece for celebratory jolly folly and fun.
All night the animals dance and Christmas carols are sung,
breaking only with the next day’s rising sun,
as another Christmas season has officially begun!
