The Bertha Story
JingleNog’s whimsical Christmas cow is named Bertha. The story in her gift box reads,
“Bertha is a bell trimmed heifer who is always dressed,
in her Sunday best.
She favors grass over daisies,
and this bovine belle is the ultimate lady.
She is renowned for her pasture, trough and table manners,
many calves have been mentored by her on such matters.
Unlike her barnyard cousins,
Bertha chews with her mouth closed between discussions.
While she may appear to be refined and demure,
when it comes to consumption afield or on a table,
Bertha is able to outdo any creature in the stable.
Never falling to the ways of the sooty or snooty,
Bertha keeps the perfect balance between beast and beauty,
as if it were her civic duty.”
