The Into the Woods Story

Once upon a long winter’s night,

dawn’s gentle snow had strengthened by twilight,

creating a vast blanket of twinkling whites.

Through a full moon and the northern star,

a magical illusion appeared from afar.

This red suited elf in a sleigh came into sight,

crossing the sky with eight reindeer in flight.

In my sleepy haze it was a lovely dream,

but when I woke,

I found under the tree,

a present marked from Santa Claus to me!
