There once was an elephant named Emily,
who hailed from a small village south of New Delhi.
She was born the size of a jumbo teacup,
and from birth always showed signs of good luck,
for the tip of her trunk always pointed up.
All that knew her called her their lucky charm,
for with Emily around everyone shone in their best form.
She also was know for her sweet disposition,
exemplifying the best of pachydermic traits, myths and traditions.
Emily was always well dressed with a embroidered blanket,
which matched her jeweled headdress and anklets.
Her beauty and unique physique left her destined,
she was the crowning highlight to all processions.
Emily’s over sized ears were always open and ready to listen.
She was known for her stellar memory but more importantly,
she was heralded for her loyalty.
She never once divulged, judged or asked prying questions,
so naturally she heard many confessions.
Everyone said she was the best friend they could have imagined,
and it was what made her an elephant legend.
